The Big Void: 30-Meter Hidden Chamber Above the Grand Gallery
Full Description
The ScanPyramids project discovered a previously unknown void inside the Great Pyramid at least 30 meters long, located directly above the Grand Gallery. Three independent detector systems (nuclear emulsions, scintillator hodoscopes, gas detectors) confirmed the finding, published in Nature (November 2017).
THE MYSTERY:
- No known passage leads to this void
- Its exact dimensions and contents are unknown
- It is similar in length to the Grand Gallery (~47m)
- Its position directly above the Grand Gallery suggests a functional relationship
- Egyptian authorities have not permitted invasive exploration
IN THE TRANSMITTER MODEL:
A void parallel to and above the Grand Gallery would function as a coupled resonance chamber. Two parallel acoustic spaces (Grand Gallery + Big Void) create a coupled room acoustic system with broader frequency response and higher Q-factor (sharper resonance peaks) than either space alone. This is standard acoustic engineering.
The Big Void may be the most important undiscovered room in archaeology.

The Big Void: A 30-Meter Cavity Hidden Inside the Great Pyramid
THE BIGGEST DISCOVERY INSIDE THE PYRAMID IN 4,500 YEARS In November 2017, the ScanPyramids project (a collaboration between Cairo University, Heritage Innovation Preservation institute, and international physics teams) announced the detection of a previously unknown void inside the Great Pyramid. THE DETECTION METHOD: MUON TOMOGRAPHY Cosmic ray muons — high-energy particles that rain down from ...
Cardinal Alignment Precision
The Great Pyramid's base sides are aligned to true north, south, east, and west with an accuracy of 3 arc-minutes (3/60th of a degree), or about 0.05°. This surpasses the alignment accuracy of the Greenwich Observatory, built in 1675. To achieve this, the builders needed either sophisticated astronomical observation techniques (tracking circumpolar stars) or instruments of extraordinary precision....
Construction Block Precision
The Great Pyramid contains approximately 2.3 million limestone blocks, each averaging 2.5 tonnes (some granite blocks weigh 80 tonnes). The blocks fit together with joints averaging 0.5 millimeters — thinner than a sheet of paper. Modern stonemasons struggle to achieve this tolerance with power tools. The original Tura limestone casing stones were polished to an optical flatness, reflecting sunlig...
The Eight-Sided Pyramid: A Feature Invisible from the Ground
THE DISCOVERY In 1940, a British Royal Air Force pilot, P. Groves, photographed the Great Pyramid from the air and noticed something extraordinary: each of the four faces is slightly concave — indented along the center line — making the pyramid effectively eight-sided rather than four-sided. This feature is invisible from the ground and can only be observed from above or during specific lighting ...
The ITMO Reinterpretation: The Pyramid Concentrates INCOMING Electromagnetic Energy
THE STUDY THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING — REREAD In 2018, a team from ITMO University (St. Petersburg) and the Laser Zentrum Hannover published a peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Applied Physics demonstrating that the Great Pyramid concentrates electromagnetic energy in its internal chambers (particularly the King's Chamber) and beneath its base. THE CRITICAL DETAIL WE MISSED: The ITMO study mod...
The Hall of Records
Multiple traditions describe a hidden "Hall of Records" beneath the Sphinx or the Giza plateau containing the accumulated wisdom of an antediluvian civilization. Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) predicted the Hall would be found between the Sphinx and the Nile before the end of the 20th century. Arab historians including Al-Maqrizi described underground chambers filled with manuscripts of science and astro...
The Emerald Tablets of Thoth
The Hermetic tradition attributes the founding of Egyptian civilization to Thoth (Greek: Hermes Trismegistus, "Thrice-Great"), who reportedly built the Great Pyramid as a repository of knowledge designed to survive a global cataclysm. The Emerald Tablets, ascribed to Thoth, contain the famous axiom "As above, so below" — which parallels the Orion Correlation Theory. The tablets describe hidden cha...
The Five Relieving Chambers: A Coupled Oscillator Stack Above the King's Chamber
FIVE STACKED CHAMBERS ABOVE THE KING'S CHAMBER Directly above the King's Chamber lie five additional chambers, stacked vertically, each separated by massive granite beams. These are called "relieving chambers" because their conventional purpose is to relieve the weight of the pyramid above the King's Chamber ceiling. THE CHAMBERS (bottom to top): 1. Davison's Chamber (discovered 1765 by Nathanie...
